for Illiteracy
EradicationBackground
The illiteracy
eradication software designed by the ICT4IE (ICT
for Illiteracy Eradication) is a simple,
self-based, interactive computer tutorial that
requires minimal input from the student to promote
basic literacy.
The software was
designed so that learning activities are embedded
into the familiar contexts of every day life and
are dramatized using sound and music.
By situating cognition
in this way, student retention and understanding
of content is greatly improved while at the same
time more satisfaction is derived from the
learning process.
