Success Story in Menia

Farghal
(the most hardworking and determine)

started telling us his story saying: "My name is Farghal Abd El Atay Mustafa from Menya. I am 31 years old married with two kids.

I left school at the third primary grade. I had the chance to work in the Post Institution as an office boy. I heard about the course at work. The course was conducted as a result of a protocol signed between the project and the Post Institution. Working at the post office gave me the chance to see people working on computers.

I envied them that they can read, write and use the computer. I wanted to be like them so I decided to join the illiteracy eradication course. I joined the course in October 2005. I became very much interested because I found myself not only reading and writing but also using a computer and surfing the internet.

I felt that I am new person who can speak the world's new language which is the computer language. Now after I finished my course successfully I became very good at using the computer to the extent that my boss is giving me many tasks to finish on the computer. I also can surf the net and search for anything that I want.

I can read newspaper articles online and I also use the internet for entertainment, I search for songs I like and download my favorites.

Fargal lives in Abu Korkas which is 25 kilometers away from the illiteracy eradication course location. Fargal attended all classes and never missed a class. He got the will.
