Youth Capacity Building of “Decent Work for youth Using ICT” Project

Over 60 hours of training workshops started on the 16th of November 2017 as the activities of the first phase of the training program for the project "Decent work for Youth Using ICT" are implemented by the Comprehensive Community Development using Information and Communications Technology project affiliate to the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, and the United Nations Development Program.
Training groups are divided into five groups, each containing the number of 12 trainees, as these groups are being trained in the assembly of the social rehabilitation center in Shubra Al Khaymah, Qalyubiyah Governorate. This training includes training on the principles of communications and information technology, Microsoft Office, Operating Systems, and basic skills to deal with the Internet.
It is worth mentioning that "Decent Work for Youth Using ICT" project is in progress, in partnership with the Development Program in the Urban Areas affiliate to the German Development Cooperation GIZ, and is implemented in Shubra El Kheima, El Khosus centers in Qalyubia, and seeks to overcome major social and economic developmental challenges in Egypt, such as the spread of unemployment among young people and lack of professional and personal skills they have.
As the project seeks to support and promote the lack of professional capacity, especially in the area of information technology, to contribute to the creation of more decent employment opportunities and raising their living standard.
It is noteworthy that the project falls under the framework of the common understanding and reference convention between the European Union and the German Development Cooperation.
